We aim to build a community by organizing events (the Belgian Watch Fair) and by expanding our online presence day by day. We think watches are to be celebrated & enjoyed, together.

ABOUT TIME COUNTS
Founded in 2022 by Bart Schoonvliet and Matthias De Pauw, Time Counts was born out of a deep passion for watches—years of collecting, trading up, and obsessing over the details; Matthias had, after all, been selling watches intensively since 2010. In 2025, we took our enthusiasm to the next level by launching the Belgian Watch Fair, bringing Jurgen Keppens and Peter-Jan Huysmans on board as equal partners.
Our collective knowledge of watches and their provenance could fill entire books, so we decided to put it to good use by creating a watch shop and community—a place where collectors, enthusiasts, and newcomers can find carefully curated timepieces across all price ranges. Because let’s be honest: life’s too short for boring watches. Collecting isn’t about how much you spend—it’s about passion, and we respect every budget. Whether you’re searching for an affordable vintage gem or a lifelong grail, we’re here to help you find it.
The name Time Counts is a playful double entendre. First, it’s a simple truth: time is precious. But we also liked the idea of calling ourselves the Counts of Time—a lighthearted nod to the aristocratic title, because let’s face it, we’re not taking ourselves that seriously.
At our core, we are true watch freaks. Beyond buying and selling, we want to build a real community—connecting watch lovers through initiatives both physical (fairs, etc) and on social media; YouTube, Facebook, and beyond. This is just the beginning, and we have big plans for the future.
